The capacity of Winds and its partners to address depends on our partners generosity in funding these projects to make it possible for us to keep serving. Many projects remain in desperate need of funds for Winds to be able to continue the work. The projects listed here are not exhaustive. Please take contact with Winds for a larger catalog and for more information on each projects. All the projects are addressed in a comprehensive projects which can be submitted to interested sponsors.
MINISTERS DIGITAL TRAINING WORKSHOPS
Bridging the Digital Divide for Ministers
and Churches
As our daily lives move increasingly into the digital realm, being offline today is equivalent to being excluded. For this reason, it is more critical than ever that everyone regardless of their domain of activity, location, or income has the ability to access and use the internet. Unfortunately, the reality is that half the world is still offline, and in the Developing World, ministers (of all genders) and churches are unacceptably lagging behind.
Failure to close this digital divide particularly within the Church threatens to reinforce existing offline patterns, limiting the Church's ability to contribute meaningfully to global debates on issues like poverty and inequality. These limitations undermine the growth and development of Global Missions. A range of challenges keeps ministers from unlocking the potential of ICTs, including:

The high cost of connection, especially given that ministers often earn less than the average citizen.

Cultural barriers to online access and usage.

Lack of digital skills, which field experience shows is one of the top reasons ministers in the Developing World are not online. Ministers are nearly four times more likely than others to cite lack of skills as a barrier to internet use.
The Ministers Digital Skills Training Project
The Ministers Digital Skills Training Project aims to tackle this issue. The project consists of a series of training workshops designed to prepare church leaders and churches to fully engage with the digital world for their ministries. It includes:

Training in relevant ministry content and applications.

Skills development for using social network tools effectively.

Practical assistance to help churches transition into the digital age.
By addressing the digital divide, this project ensures that ministers and churches can unlock the opportunities of the Digital Age, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to both society and Global Missions. You can contribute to this initiative and help transform the future of the Church.
THE CHURCH-WEB DEBATES SCHOOLS PROJECTS
The facts are stated. The threats facing the web today are many and multi-faceted. Over half the world’s population is still offline, and the growth of people coming online is slowing dramatically. The distributed power of the web has shifted to lay in the hands of just a few, online abuse is on the rise, and the content we see is increasingly susceptible to manipulation. Over 1.2 billion internet users live in countries where net neutrality is not protected, and more than 1.5 billion people live in countries with no comprehensive law on personal data protection, leaving them particularly vulnerable to increasingly common incidents involving breaches of personal data.
How do we fight against these threats to help the web to realize its true potential? The debates cannot yield a complete result without the contribution of the Church as the salt and light of this world. The Churches in developing countries are an important bridge between the billions of believers existing and relevant life changing knowledge. Leaving the Church out of the debate is a loss both for the Kingdom and the Civil society. The Ministers Digital empowerment mission aims to tackle this and other issues related to the Church in the Digital Era. You can contribute to that.
The project consist on a series of five regional seminars for church leaders on current web debates in order to empower them to educate the believers communities effectively on these questions.
CHURCH TALENT GROOMING CAMPS PROJECT
One factor more than any other will determine how the Church turns the Digital era to its advantage. The knowledgeability and competence of its leaders in matters related to it. Without knowledgeable leaders talents will not be groomed in Churches and members capacity not promoted. Without talented believers who are able to use existing digital technologies and adapt to evolving methods and new approaches, Churches will struggle. The Church as any other organization in the world will need people with digital design and technical skills, including UX/UI experts, human-centered design talent, data scientists, and data and technology engineers. These people will serve both their own business, companies and Churches in ways that will empower the Church in the fulfilment of its divine call of the Missio Dei. To promote, groom, develop, and retain the people they need, Church leaders need to adapt their organizations in multiple areas.
The project consist in five regional Digital talents development camps for amateur young Christians with a day dedicated to Church leaders for their awareness on the importance of those talents for their churches.
ACHIEVING DIGITAL ORGANIZATION PROJECT
The Church needs to understand the cultural change around in order to be able to communicate efficiently the relevance of the Gospel to the world.
According to many the most important key to unlocking the value-creating power of the company of the future is a new organizational model that is based on person-machine processes and centralized data and technology platforms. Human capacity will increasingly need to be deployed to designing, auditing, and innovating processes as opposed to operating them. The contemporary organizational model that emphasizes hierarchy, role definition, and waterfall planning models will need to be adapted or replaced. Multidisciplinary “agile improvement teams” will work with machines to improve the customer experiences and operating processes of the business.
As stated by Jens Karberg Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) “We need to take discussion of best practice to the next level, where more people are more knowledgeable about how digital technologies can benefit the work we are doing, and what the potential risks are. The Principles for Digital Development are a framework for considering both the possibilities and the challenges that digital development can present.” This applies as well to the Church. The Ministers and Churches empowerment for Digital Era mission aims to tackle this and other issues related to the Church in the Digital Era. You can contribute to that.
The project consist in a series of five pilot seminars for Church and Christian ministries leaders to create awareness and give notions for the Digital transformation of their organizations and ministries.
